Stampin Up Thoughtful Expressions Vintage Flowers Card

Today we are making a vintage style card using Stampin Up Thoughtful Expressions bundle. I have also used the lovely foiled specialty paper, Forever Love from the mini catalogue. I was aiming for a bit of a vintage vibe with the scrunched up flowers and colour combination.

The Stampin Up Thoughtful Expressions bundle is a fabulous addition to your craft supplies. I particularly like the dies because they have 2 different shapes of sentiment labels in graduating sizes. There is also a stand alone flower, leaves and dies to cut the four outline stamped images. These images are perfect for colouring but also look great embossed.

How to Make this Stampin Up Thoughtful Expressions Card

For my base card I stamped the foliage image in Early Espresso onto a side folding Early Espresso card. Next I adheres a piece of the mat side of the Forever Love specialty paper (which was 12cm x 3.5cm). I also stamped the same image in Crumb Cake onto the largest rectangle label shape (also Crumb Cake).

Next I cut one of the floral images with two roses from the foiled Moody Mauve paper (this sheet).

I adhered this to the crumb cake label by by adding adhesive close to the centre of the roses. This meant I could roll the edges of the roses up a little. I then cut another couple of roses and cut a wide coil shape. By coiling and folding these, I was able to get some extra dimension and texture. Finally I attached them over the top of the other flowers using Dimensionals.

My sentiment is from the Stampin Up Thoughtful Expressions stamp set. I stamped in Early Espresso onto Very Vanilla and die cut with the corresponding label shape in the dies. I just tucked this under the flowers a little and adhered with some Stampin’ Seal. The last step was to add some embellishments. I used a double bow of the linen thread and a couple of Petal Pink Foiled gems.
