Hello friends, today I have a Stampin’ Up! Terrific Toadstools fun fold card for you. This is a spanner pop-up card and is deceptively easy to make. I have a video tutorial, template and instructions for you. This card also uses the Saleabration FREE Toadstool Gardens DSP. You can get a 48 sheet pack of this gorgeous 6×6″ DSP FREE with a $100 order during Saleabration which ends at midnight on 28th February.

Here’s a look at the front of the card and the two different views when it opens. This one is for my great niece’s 10th birthday. This is what it looks like when it is closed. It fits in a standard sized envelope.

When you lift up the top spanner shape part, you get this view.

Finally, the centre piece lifts up and you get the pop-up toadstools.

Video Tutorial and Instructions for Stampin’ Up! Terrific Toadstools Card

To help you make this card at home, I have a video tutorial, measurements, DSP cutting template and stamping guide. If you were one of my purchasing customers in January you would have (or soon to) received the cardstock cut to size, DSP, embellishments and printed instructions in the mail. I send out these complimentary customer project kits each month to my customers in Australia.

First here’s the video.

Measurements for Base Cardstock

  • 1/2 A4 sheet of Melon Mambo cardstock (cut horizontally so you end up with a piece 21cm x 14.8cm and scored in the centre)
  • Another piece of Melon Mambo cardstock 14cm x 3.7cm
  • A piece of Basic White cardstock 20.7cm x 7.2cm and scored in the centre

Cutting Template for Toadstool Gardens Designer Series Paper

The card was designed to be made with one piece of 6×6″ DSP. Some pieces use the front of the DSP, and some the reverse. With the cutting template, start with your piece of the DSP right side up, and in the correct orientation for the pattern to show in the centre section (middle photo above). Like this:

Here’s a close up of the cutting template:

Stamping Guide

Here’s an image of what needs to be stamped and fussy cut if you just have the Terrific Toadstools stamp set. The stamp set also comes in a bundle with the coordinating punch, and that will cut a couple of the images.

Here’s a look at the bundle (both of these items can also be purchased individually. The stamp set alone is just $34 plus postage in Australia.
