When I first opened the 2024 January to April mini, the Stampin Up Perennial Lavender Suite jumped right out at me. I love the colour palette, the gorgeous lavender imagery and the versatile sentiment bundle.

Here is a closer look at the Perennial Lavender DSP in the Suite.
It’s so easy to create with this beautiful suite! Everything just comes together so easily and the results are so pretty. Here are two cards I made using this suite.
We will look at these cards in more detail in a moment, but first I wanted to tell you about my Perennial Lavender Class by Mail. This class features two components:
Australia: A kit and product based class which is mailed to you in Australia. The kit makes 5 cards including a fun fold). They are completely different cards to these two. Registration is open until January 10th and you can find details and online registration HERE. There are lots of free options included. For example you get 2 free class kits with the suite option!
Worldwide: An immediate download PDF class with measurements in imperial and metric, and including full colour photo, supply list and step by step instructions. This is available to purchase worldwide by crafters and fellow demonstrators in my Class & Tutorial store. If you are a demonstrator, you are welcome to use the designs in your in-person classes (but not online please).
Instructions for making these two handmade cards.
Next, let’s have a closer look at the two cards. First we have the Mother’s day card.
I have sponged the Paper Butterfly Embellishments in Highland Heather ink and added some of the Purple Fine Shimmer Blends in the centre of the butterfly as the main embellishment. Otherwise it’s mostly the paper doing the work on the Crumb Cake base card. The Linen Thread coordinates perfectly with these papers.
For the second card, I have used the inlaid embossing papercraft technique.
First I started with a base crumb cake card. Next I cut a piece of Highland Heather cardstock about 1cm or 1/4″ smaller on all edges than the base card. I die cut 3 different postage rectangles and adhered them to the Highland Heather. Next I embossed this whole piece using the Distressed Tile embossing folder. Finally I adhered this piece to a thin mat of Gorgeous Grape and then to the base Crumb Cake card. For embellishment I sponged a paper butterfly in Gorgeous Grape, making the colour deeper on the edges. I used some more Purple Fine Shimmer Gems and Linen Thread on the butterfly for further embellishment.
