Measurements for my Stampin’ Up! Peace on Earth Sympathy Card

For a standard metric card:

• Top folding Crumb Cake card (10.5 x 14.85cm)
• Secondly a piece of Misty Moonlight cardstock 9.2cm x 12.5cm
• Thirdly, a piece of Crumb Cake DSP piece is 1.5cm x 12.2cm
• Finally a piece of Secret Sea patterned paper piece is 7.4cm x 12,2cm

Recommendations for a standard imperial 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ card

• Top folding Crumb Cake card 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″
• Secondly a piece of Misty Moonlight cardstock 3 1/2″ x 4 3/4″
• Thirdly a piece of the Crumb Cake DSP 5/8″ x 4 5/8″
• Finally a piece of the Secret Sea DSP 2 3/4″ x 4 5/8″

Instructions and Tips for my Stampin’ Up! Peace on Earth Sympathy Card

This one is pretty intuitive to recreate, but here’s a few notes.

1. Attach the two DSP pieces side by side onto the Misty Moonlight cardstock layer, allowing the same border around the edge (except the join which should be together). Don’t adhere to the base card yet.
2. Next attach the ribbon over the DSP join and secure at the back (I used Tear ‘n Tape). I attached it with a bit of Stampin’ Seal and didn’t apply any where I was going to tie the linen thread bow. Once that is done you can secure the whole piece to the card front with Dimensionals.
3. The Linen thread bow is a double strand of linen thread.
4. For the sentiment label, the top layer is cut from one of the neutral DSP pieces, the other from Misty Moonlight. Once they are adhered together attach in the bottom half of the card using Dimensionals.
5. I used the fine end of the Secret Sea Stampin’ Write Marker to create an eye on the dove. That is attached directly to the top left of the label with a couple of Dimensionals propping up the wings.
6. The Crumb Cake twig bottom right is attached directly to the DSP. Die cutting this one with some Adhesive Sheets attached to the back of the cardstock makes this one super easy to attach.
7. The embellishments are self adhesive so that’s an easy final step.
8. For the inside of my card, I have used a piece of Basic White cardstock 9.5cm x 13.8cm (or 3 3/4″ x 5″) and attached a strip of coordinating DSP 2cm x 9.5cm (or 1/2″ x 3 3/4″) at the bottom.
