Today I am using the Stampin Up Notes of Nature stamp set for a vintage style birthday card. Notes of Nature is part of the Nature’s Sweetness Suite in the 2024 January to April Mini Catalogue. I have also used the Nature’s Sweetness Designer Series Paper from the suite. You can find the suite HERE in my online store.
The Stampin Up Notes of nature stamp set is a gorgeous combination of flora and line images, along with some vintage / grunge style stamps. Very much my style! I really like the wording and font of the sentiments in the set too.
How to make my Stampin Up Notes of Nature birthday card
Firstly, my base card is Pebbled Path cardstock and I have stamped the field notes stamp, cross hatch stamp and the ink splotches stamp on the base card. Stamp close to the edges at the top left and bottom right as that will still show when you add the next DSP layer.
Secondly, I have added two pieces of DSP to the card. The Nature’s Sweetness DSP is so beautiful with it’s vintage prints and gold foiling. Cut one piece 7.5 cm x 12 cm and adhere centre and middle. Next cut a second strip 10.5cm x 3cm and adhere over that piece, in the bottom half of the card.
Thirdly I have attached a small banner piece 3cm (before the banner end is cut) by 1.5cm and attached to the top left corner overlapping onto the DSP piece.
Next cut a stitched circle using the Stylish Shapes dies (mine is 6.5cm wide). Stamp with the same stamps as the base card and attach over the DSP strip with Dimensionals. Die cut one of the gold foiled flora pieces from the Nature’s Sweetness DSP, and colour the two flowers with Stampin’ Blends (I used Bubble Bath). Attach over the circle with Dimensionals.
The greeting is stamped in Pebbled Path ink onto Crumb Cake cardstock then trimmed to size and banner ends cut. I adhered this directly over the floral piece with Stampin’ Seal. Finally I have embellished my card with Adhesive-Backed Cork Rounds embellishments from the suite, a linen thread bow on the DSP tab, and some Iridescent pastel gems for the flower centres.
