Hello stampers. Today I have a 2023 Christmas card using the Stampin Up Night Divine stamp set. It’s an easel card for when you want to make something a little bit special. My Mum always loves when I make her fun fold cards to stand on her dresser where she displays her card (not sure this will be her Christmas card though!). The Stampin Up Night Divine bundle is part of the O Holy Night suite in the 2023 September to December Mini Catalogue. The DSP and adhesive stars are also part of the suite. Here’s a look at my easel card.
Initially it was the nativity scene dies that attracted to me to this suite. Then when I started working with it, I fell in love with the deep rich colours in the O Holy Night DSP. I also really like the large Christmas sentiments and the elegant fonts.
What is an Easel Card?
An easel card is a type of fun fold card that props itself up on a raised element inside the card (in this case both layers of the sentiment are raised with Dimensionals)
How do you make an Easel Card?
An easel card is very simple to make. A double layer cardfront with the bottom layer scored in the centre allows for the card to prop up as shown. The top layer is then only adhered to the bottom half of the scored layer, When it folds back, it is held from opening any further by the raised greeting. The whole card folds down into a standard sized envelope.
Tutorial / Instructions for a Stampin Up Night Divine Easel Card
I do have a tutorial for an easel card similar this one, which can be downloaded HERE for free. The basics of the easel card are the same as this one.
If you would like the tutorial for this exact Night Divine card, it is included in the 5 card PDF class I have designed for this Stampin Up Night Divine bundle / O Holy Night suite. You can get this PDF class FREE when you purchase the Night Divine bundle from me (find the suite including the bundle HERE in my online store). Also it can also be purchased as a stand alone class with immediate download in my PDF class store for $15AUD (less than $10USD at today’s exchange rate). All my classes have measurements in both metric and imperial.
