Today I have a Christmas card for you which is primarily made with the Stampin Up Nests of Winter DSP. This is for week 8 of the Art with Heart Team Heart of Christmas blog hop.

Here’s my card, and yes I used Crumb Cake again!! It’s such a beautiful neutral and seems to coordinate with all the papers I love.

Stampin Up Nests of Winter Suite 2024 Christmas card with bird and forest imagery.

About the Stampin’ Up! Nests of Winter DSP and Winterly Tree Tops bundle.

I absolutely adore this Nests of Winter DSP pack. It has the most beautiful imagery and colour palette.

Here’s the coordinating bundle. The two dies cut out the two different bird shapes in the paper on the bottom row, third from left, They also cut out the stamped images too.

How to Create this Card at Home

Here are the steps to recreate this card at home. All products used are linked at the end of the post and can be purchased from me online or directly via phone or email in Australia.

  • Start with a top folding Crumb Cake standard size card (1/2 an A4 sheet cut vertically and folded in half / burnished with bone folder)
  • Add a layer of the patterned paper with the tree trunks
  • Cut a piece of the Pool Party patterned paper ( the one with the snow images on it) 13cm x 4cm. Adhere down the centre of the card.
  • Cut one of the Spotlight on Nature dies (the one that is 8.2cm) in Crumb Cake.
  • Cut the next size down in the Spotlight on Nature dies (the one that is 6.8cm) in the Pool Party patterned paper with the check pattern. Adhere this onto the Crumb Cake die cut.
  • Adhere these die cuts over the top of the Pool Party patterned paper strip using Dimensionals, leaving about 1.5cm of the Pool Party paper showing at the top.
  • Fussy Cut one of the images of the two birds on the pine branches. Adhere with Dimensionals over the circle die cuts.
  • Add some Cherry Cobbler Adhesive Berries to the branches.
  • Make a bow from a double strand of Linen Thread. Adhere with a glue dot above the die cut circles.
  • Add a Christmas sentiment (stamp in Crumb Cake on Basic White). I used the Peaceful Season stamp set.
