Stampin’ Up! Kintsugi Inspirations Free PDF Card Tutorial & Video

Hello friends. Today I have a card from you featuring the gorgeous Stampin’ Up! Kintsugi Inspirations suite. If you are not familiar with Kintsugi as an art form, here is a definition from the Cambridge dictionary:

kintsugi is the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery in a beautiful way that does not hide the fact that it was broken, by using gold or silver melted metal in the cracks. Kintsugi is meant to highlight the imperfections of a a piece and celebrate it’s new form. The kintsugi technique employs special lacquer, made from tree sap, dusted with powdered gold, silver or platinum.

What a beautiful philosophy don’t you think?

Here is the Stampin’ Up! Kintsugi Inspirations card I would like to share with you today.

Details of the card and the free PDF cart tutorial

For the card, I wanted to show you how you can also use any other DSP you have to cut out the vase or Japanese tea cup, and still create the same cracked and mended effect.

Stampin Up Kintsugi Inspirations thank you card.

I have created a free downloadable PDF tutorial for this card with supply list, measurements in imperial and metric, and step by step instructions. Download the FREE Kintsugi Inspirations PDF here.

I have also created a video which shows 4 cards I have made with this suite (including this one) and gives some demonstration about creating the mended crack effect on the background of the cards and on the vases / tea cups.

This is a lovely design. I like that you found a compatible DSP paper in the Mixed Florals papers. Well Done! (The related cards are also very nice!)
