Today I have two fun and bright Christmas cards for you using the Stampin Up Jolly Words stamp set and the Merry, Bright and Beautiful Designer Series Paper. You will find both of these adorable products in the 2023 Stampin Up September to December Mini Catalogue.
Firstly, let’s have a look at this cute elf card. Stampin Up Jolly words has several great outline images which can be coloured (I used Stampin’ Blends on this one).
Stampin Up Jolly Words Card 1
The base card is Shaded Spruce, and I have used colours picked up from the DSP in my colouring: Pool Party, Poppy Parade, Shaded Spruce and Granny Apple Green. As I was using Stampin’ Blends I stamped using a water based ink, in this case Basic Gray. For the letters ‘J’ and ‘Y’ I have stamped those separately in Pool Party, cut out with my paper snips and adhered using Dimensionals.
Next, for the centre panel of the card, I started with a piece of Basic White cardstock 8cm x 13cm and added a couple of different layers of the bright and colourful Merry, Bright and Beautiful DSP before I added the stamped piece on top which has a small mat of Shaded Spruce cardstock to tie in the colours. Finally, to add some festive bling to my card, I added some of the silver metallic trim from the Elegant Trim pack.
Stampin Up Jolly Words Card 2
Secondly, I have another card from the Stampin Up Jolly Words stamp set and Merry, Bold & Bright DSP. Additionally this one uses the Merry Melody embossing folder for some extra texture. I have used a base card and embossed panel in Granny Apple Green cardstock, along with strips of the DSP. For the main stamped panel, I stamped in Granny Apple Green and then coloured the bauble with my Pool Party and Poppy Parade Stampin’ Blends. Finally, for embellishments I used the same silver metallic thread, but I coloured two of the silver festive pearls with my Poppy Parade Stampin’ Blends.
