Hello friends. Today I have a brand new Christmas card for you featuring Stampin’ Up! Holly Jolly Branches and some of the hot foiling products. This is for Heart of Christmas week 4.

Here is my card for this week. It’s a little hard to photograph as it has lots of sparkly, inky techniques.

How to make my Holly Jolly Branches Christmas Card

To recreate my card at home, you will need the Stampin’ Up! Holly Jolly Branches dies, the Graceful Evergreen Dear Hot Foil dies, the Magical Christmas Hot Foil dies and a hot foil system.

Start with a Basic White standard card and another layer of Basic White slightly smaller. Blend some Pool Party ink on the second layer of cardstock, and then emboss that piece with the Swirls of Magic embossing folder. Adhere to your base card.

How to make the Inky Trees

To create the inky trees, blend Lost Lagoon and Soft Sea Foam ink onto some Basic White cardstock. Spray generously with a water mister. When it’s dry, flick over some small droplets of the Peaceful Pine Shimmer Brush by tapping the brush against a bone folder over the top of the card. The harder you tap, the bigger the droplets are.

When everything is dry, Die cut all the trees from the Holly Jolly Branches dies. Adhere them to the left side of the card. Some are offset and some are attached with Dimensionals for variations in dimension and texture.

Make more shimmer by tapping the Clear Wink of Stella brush over your bone folder. This adds fine clear sparkles all over the card front and trees.

Next, hot foil the deer in silver foil onto Barely Blush cardstock, using the Graceful Evergreen Deer dies and hot foiling system.

Embellishments and Sentiments

To embellish your card further, add some of the light pink themed Sunset Sparkle Sequins to the top left and bottom right of your card. I love how these sequins tone in so well with the Barely Blush cardstock on the outline of the deer.

To carry on the silver theme, add a silver hot foiled Christmas sentiment, foiled onto Lost Lagoon. Adhere this with Dimensionals over a bow made from silver metallic thread.

I hope you like today’s card. You will find the links at the end of the post for all of the products I have used today.

Oh thanks for the tip about using the bone folder with the Shimmer pens, I’d forgotten. Your trees are gorgeous and I can imagine how shimmery and sparkly your card is. Beautiful.
