Today I have a Stampin Up Country Birdhouse Christmas Card for You. It’s for week 2 of the Art with Heart Team Stampin’ Up! Heart of Christmas blog hop for 2024.

My card uses a combination of Stampin Up Country Birdhouse bundle with other Christmas products. First the Winterly Tree Top Bundle (coming soon in the September to December Mini Catalogue). Second I am using foliage from the Graceful Greenery Vellum (an online exclusive). Finally the Cherry Cobbler and Pearly Adhesive Berries (also an online exclusive).

Here is a closer look.

Step by Step instructions for the Stampin Up Country Birdhouse Christmas card.
(You can view any of the individual items I have used in today’s card using the links at the end of the post).
For the base card:
- Start with a top folding Early Espresso base card.
- Cut the next layer in Crumb cake and emboss this layer with the Distressed Tile Embossing Folder.
- Sponge the edges of the Crumb Cake piece with Early Espresso ink and adhere to the base card.
Birdhouse and other imagery:
- Stamp the birdhouse in Early Espresso ink onto the light woodgrain patterned paper in the Country Woods DSP pack from the Annual Catalogue (on sale this month).
- Die cut the birdhouse eves and base using the dark wood coloured DSP.
- Assemble the birdhouse and attach to the embossed layer using glue or Stampin’ Seal.
- Die cut three of the foliage pieces from the Graceful Greenery Vellum, using the Golden Greenery Dies. If you don’t have these dies, you can fussy cut the vellum or use any other foliage dies you have with your choice of Old Olive, Mossy Meadow or Garden Green cardstock )or a combination of). Adhere these near the bottom of the birdhouse using glue dots or tape behind where the bird will be.
- Stamp the single bird from the Winterly Tree Tops bundle (coming soon in the 2024 September to December Mini Catalogue) in Early Espresso or Pebbled Path (I used Pebbled Path) and colour the branch with Pebbled Path Stampin’ Blends and the bird with light and dark Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends.
- Die cut the bird using the coordinating die from Winterley Tree Tops. Adhere over the foliage (and resting on the birdhouse base) using Dimensionals.
Sentiment and embellishments:
- Stamp the ‘Merry Christmas’ sentiment from Greetings of the Season stamp set (an Online Exclusive) in Early Espresso ink onto some scraps of Crumb Cake ink. Trim to single words and attach them to the right side of the bird at the bottom of the bird house.
- Adhere the Cherry Cobbler adhesive pearls as shown.
- Die cut one of the string and bows from the Country Birdhouse dies (I did mine in Pebbled Path). Next, attach to the top of the birdhouse and trim at the top of the card. Finally, to attach sponge Multipurpose glue on the back until it is tacky and adhere.
- Tie a triple strand bow in linen thread and attach over the top of the die cut bow, using glue dots.
I hope you like today’s card. Birdhouse and bird cards are one of my favourite types of cards to make.

Beautiful Claire. Love how you’ve used the sprigs of foliage from the DSP to switch the bundle up to traditional Christmas.
