Today I have a Stampin’ Up! Christmas bauble card for Heart of Christmas Week 16. This is the second last week of our team Christmas blog hop.

Here’s a look at my pink and gold Stampin’ Up! Christmas bauble card. It was a little bit tricky to photograph to show off all the gold foiling and shine of the embossing.

Stampin Up Bauble Christmas Card made with Marbled Elegance DSP

I based my card on the beautiful new Marbled Elegance specialty paper from the November Online Exclusive drop. This paper is definitely a great choice when you want that extra bit of WOW. The coordinating colours are Cherry Cobbler, Flirty Flamingo, gold, Melon Mambo, Petal Pink and Real Red. These gorgeous designs feature gold foil mixed into marble patterns for a luscious look, perfect for Valentine’s Day cards and gift packaging. Or save to use throughout the year for birthdays, anniversaries, and more.

You could of course use any patterned paper you have to make this Stampin’ Up! Christmas bauble card.

Steps to make the Stampin’ Up! Christmas Bauble Card

Here is how I made the card. All the products I have referred to are linked at the bottom of the post.

Stampin Up 2024 Christmas Card showing gold foiled Christmas baubles cut from Marbled Elegance DSP
  1. Firstly, I started with a Melon Mambo standard sized base card. For metric, this is half an A4 sheet cut vertically. For imperial it’s half and 8 1/2 x 11″ card cut vertically.
  2. Secondly I cut another layer of the same colour cardstock. This piece is 10cm x 14.3cm for metric, and 4″ x 5 1/4″ for imperial. I embossed this piece with the So Swirly embossing folder. Don’t adhere to the base card yet.
  3. Next I adhered a piece of the Marble Elegance DSP onto some cardstock for extra weight. It only needs to be about 4-5″ long and 2 1/2″ inches wide. I cut the circle shapes using a 2″ circle punch.
  4. The next step is to work out where you want the baubles to go. Adhere some twisted gold thread from underneath where the bauble will be, and again on the reverse of the cardstock layer. I used Tear ‘n Tape to secure both ends.
  5. Following this I added a strip of Gold Mercury Vellum to the top of the card to provide a point of interest, and secure the thread some more. I just adhered this with Stampin’ Seal.
  6. For the baubles, I adhered the right one direct to the cardstock, and the left one is adhered with Dimensionals.
  7. Once they were adhered, I attached (with a glue dot) a double bow of the twisted gold thread to each bauble.
  8. Finally I added a gold embossed sentiment from Peaceful Season, and some of the gold Neutral Adhesive Backed Sequins.
