Stampin ‘Up! Adventurous Sky Masculine Cards

by | Oct 24, 2024 | Birthday Cards, Cardmaking, Masculine Cards | 0 comments

Today I am sharing two cards using the Stampin’ Up! Adventurous Sky Bundle. This is part of the Take to the Sky suite collection in the 2024 Annual Catalogue. I have also used the Take to the Sky DSP which is part of the suite. This suite is perfect for cards for men. The patterned paper in the suite also lends itself to travel scrapbooking.

I have made a masculine birthday card and a Father’s day card to show you today.

Two handmade greeting cards for men with planes on them. Made using Stampin Up Adventurous Sky bundle.

Here’s a look at the Stampin’ Up! Adventurous Sky bundle.

The coordinating Take to the Sky patterned paper pack has twelve 12×12″ double sided sheet. This includes a double sided sheet with pieces that are sized to be used for tags and card fronts. The main coordinating colours are Copper Clay, Boho Blue, Night of Navy, Mossy Meadow and Smoky Slate.

Card 1: Fathers Day Card

For the Father’s Day card, my card layout is quite simple. I wanted the die cut plane is the star of the show. The pieces for the plane are all in the die set. Can you see the propeller – that was die cut from Pebbled Path cardstock. My base card and mat on the mid section of DSP is Copper Clay. I have die cut a circle from the Smoky Slate DSP using the Spotlight on Nature dies. I stamped the sentiment on there in Night of Navy ink.

For embellishments, I used the Adhesive Backed Metallic Gems. At the time of making these cards, I didn’t have the embellishments from the suite. The industrial Trinkets in the suite are perfect for plane parts though!

Card 2: Masculine Birthday Card

For my second Stampin Up Adventurous Sky bundle card, I have made a birthday card. Once again I have die cut a circle using the Spotlight on Nature dies. This time it is die cut in Night of Navy cardstock, and embossed with the Metal Plate 3D embossing folder. The main image has been stamped and die-cut. The other pieces are all patterned paper from the Take to the Sky pack (except the base Copper Clay card).

The sentiment is stamped in Night of Navy ink onto Smoky Slate cardstock. I have used the Adhesive Backed Metallic Gems and some linen thread as my embellishments.
