Today I wanted top share a handmade 21st birthday card I made for my son’s girlfriend. It’s an arched easel card and I also have a PDF tutorial for the card you can download for free!

A handmade 21st birthday card made with Wildflower paper pack and Everyday Arches dies from Stampin' Up!

Supplies used in my handmade 21st birthday card.

My handmade 21st birthday card is based around two key Stampin’ Up! items. The Everyday Arches dies provide interest to the shape of the easel card. Secondly the Wildflower Birthday DSP pack (which includes 2 sheets of die cuts including the gorgeous cake die cut I have used) is perfect for the patterns and coordinating imagery.

Here’s a look at the Everyday Arches Dies

Next is the gorgeous Wildflower Birthday DSP which coordinates perfectly with the base cardstock of Bubble Bath and Basic White.

You can view all the other supplies used to make the card via the links at the end of the post.

PDF Tutorial and how to make my handmade 21st birthday card.

Download the PDF tutorial to make this card HERE. The tutorial has the supply list, measurements and step by step instructions.

Here are a few pictures which show how it comes together too.

Here’s what the front looks like before the arches are decorated. You can see the mountain fold in the top of the card which provides the easel mechanism. The die cut arches are only attached to the area below the centre fold line. You will find the DSP measurements in the tutorial.

The inside of the card needs to have a label which is elevated by dimensionals so that the fold has something to lean against. I used the Stylish Shapes dies and some chipboard numbers from my scrapbooking stash to achieve this. I also added a piece for a handwritten sentiment.

Finally the decoration of the arched panels. I used two of the die cuts (the cake and flower topper) from the die cuts which are included in the DSP pack. Gold embossing of the sentiment (from the Simply Said stamp set). some gold embellishments and gold thread added some glamour to the card. As you can see it folds down nicely to fit inside a standard envelope.
