Other FAQ about Joining Stampin' Up! in Australia
How do I join up?
The joining process is all online and is quick and easy. I suggest having a look at which products you would like first and write those down. Give me a call on 0412 120 498 if you would like some help in choosing (I can help you with some new products which are available exclusively to Demonstrators in October too). You pay by credit card during the joining process. Us this direct sign up link to make sure you are joining my team.
Do I have to sell to other people?
No – not at all. Many people choose to join Stampin Up Australia purely for the demonstrator benefits, to be part of the global Stampin’ Up! community and for the great discount. That is totally fine. The joining process is the same, and you are welcomed into our team exactly the same way. YOU decide if you want to also sell to family or friends and we can help you learn about that if you choose. You can change your mind about that at any time too.
What commitment am I making about ongoing or minimum orders?
I like to be totally transparent about all parts of the demonstrator opportunity. Regardless of whether you have joined for yourself or to earn some additional income, the following apply.
When you join Stampin’ Up! Australia during Saleabration, you will remain an active demonstrator until the end of June 2024 (and the new 2024 Annual Catalogue is released during that time too) even if you don’t purchase anything else. You can also leave at any time and keep everything.
When you become a demonstrator, you sign the Independent Demonstrator Agreement between you and Stampin’ Up!. In the document, it refers to minimum sales, so let me explain that. After your first quarter (the one you join in), if you want to remain an active demonstrator you need to submit 300CSV (which currently equates to $468 AUD) in each quarter. This is at catalogue price, so before your 20% demonstrator discount is applied (its about $380 after the discount). When you purchase the starter kit, the calendar quarter you are in on the date you sign up (so January to end of March, April to end of June, July to end of September, or October to end of December) doesn’t count as your first full quarter. Your first full quarter is the one after the quarter you join in (but any sales in your initial joining quarter count towards your full first quarter sales with the exception of your starter kit). If at the end of any quarter you don’t meet your minimum sales amount, you get one month’s grace period (called pending status) in which to make it up. If by the end of the pending month there are still minimum sales outstanding, you just drop being a demonstrator and go back to being a customer. There are no exit fees, and you just keep everything.

What happens if I change my mind or don’t meet the minimum order level?
You can change your mind or choose to drop as an active demonstrator at any time. You just phone or email demonstrator support and it will be processed, no questions asked. You then just keep everything you have received as a demonstrator and go back to being a customer if you choose. Judging by how long my team members have been around, I think you will love it though!
What’s the benefit of joining with your team particularly?
I love being a team leader and mentoring other team members. It’s the most enjoyable part of being a demonstrator for me. I think this, together with the amazing people within our team is why our team has grow over the 16 years (nearly 17 now!) and why we have low rates of people dropping. It’s been so rewarding to see such deep friendships develop between team members, the support and sharing online, and the fun we have when we get together at events, social occasions and our team stamping days. The size of our team and how active we are is a great benefit because you are not only getting support and sharing from me, but from a range of amazing demonstrators around Australia. I often hear team members say how grateful they are that they joined a large active team.
Our team also has a strong commitment to giving back to the community, and this is something we intend to keep on growing in 2024 and beyond.
Personally, I have a really solid foundation of knowledge about stamping, cardmaking and scrapbooking and also about the business side of being a demonstrator based on joining Stampin’ Up! the first year it came to Australia. I have a great relationship with company staff and demonstrators both in Australia and globally and pride myself on acting with integrity, helping out and putting people first. Having an active ‘switched on’ (as one team member called it) team leader really makes a difference.
