Hey friends. Today I have a free tutorial on how to make handmade folded paper Christmas tree cards. Isn’t it the cutest little tree ? It’s easy to make and requires very little supplies. I have used the Stampin’ Up! Stitched Shapes dies and Heartwarming Hugs Designer Series Paper from the 2020 July to December mini catalogue for mine, but you could cut a circle shape another way and use any paper you had available.

Folded or Origami Christmas Tree Card

I made two different versions, one basic one, and another more ‘stepped up’. The sentiment is from one of my all time favourite Christmas sentiment sets, Itty Bitty Christmas (linked at end of post). I stamped the sentiment three times without reinking, on the bottom right of each envelope as well. Love how that turned out.

Make an origami Christmas tree and use it on a DIY or handmade card.

Here’s a closer look at the more basic of the two cards.

Here’s the stepped up version where I added Champagne Rhinestones, added some coiled gold cord and folded the edge of the patterned paper.

I think the stitched edge of the tree really adds to the effect.

The cards are really quick and easy to make, Great for beginners or you can dress them up some more.
